The mission of the Roxborough Manayunk Wissahickon Historical Society
is to collect, document, and preserve, the local history, art, and culture of this area of Pennsylvania. We are dedicated to the advancement of historical information, education, collection, documentation, and preservation of books, maps, images, genealogies, manuscripts, objects, and memorabilia related to Roxborough, Manayunk, Wissahickon and the surrounding communities.
RMWHS is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization -- our board, officers, archivists, webmaster, and members donate their time, energy, and skills to the benefit of the community.
We welcome new members -- no matter where they live in the U.S. -- who are looking to learn more or take an active role in collecting, preserving, researching, and promoting details of our area's rich history, art, and culture.
